FBGM “Dog Collar / Fan” Vinyl Record, 2017

FBGM is my band – a songwriting duo with my friend D. Orxata. I’ve wanted to release music on vinyl since I first started playing in bands in high school but for one reason or another I just never could make it happen… until now! In terms of the artwork, I designed it. The flower pattern is inspired by an old wallpaper print I found and had been playing around with. I redrew everything from a scan and manipulated it in Adobe Illustrator to get the right color combinations and composition. We then handed it off to hexhand who did…

Bloody Henry Film Score, 2016

I composed, performed, and recorded all the music for a short film called Bloody Henry, by Jean-Paul DiSciscio/Overdue Films, which premiered at Independent Film Festival Boston in April 2016. Since then, it’s been making the rounds at festivals, and the film will soon get a digital release. In anticipation I’m sharing the “Bloody Henry Original Score & Soundtrack” featuring 17 tracks featured in the film (13 of which are my original score). The album is available to stream & purchase via Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc. The best way to listen is via my Spotify playlist, which includes the full score…

Smalls Artisan Mini Potatoes, 2014

This is a web video for Wada Farms’ Smalls Artisan Mini Potatoes. I was commissioned by James & Matthew to write and record the music for this video. The decided direction for the music was dirty sounding indie-pop. I used the production of Bright Eyes’ “Loose Leaves” as inspiration and wrote an instrumental that made me think of forward movement mixed with the feeling of the comfort of home. I recorded & mixed all of the instruments at my home studio, using a combination of Ableton Live and Adobe Audition. The web video features the full 60-second version, but I…

The Bynars “X vs. X”, 2013

The Bynars was my synthpop band from 2008-2014. Our last album was called “X vs. X” and I’m really proud of the suite of album & single artwork I put together for these releases. I wanted them all to tie together, both with each other and with the music itself. The album was all about light vs. dark / round vs. jagged / form vs. formless and also about how everything is everything! I really tried to encompass that in the design and layout for the cover art.…

The Tale of the Landlord & Broker Web Video, 2013

I wrote, performed, and recorded the music for this web video, which was created by James & Matthew for IC Credit Union. This is one in a series of fun videos aimed at tackling the financial issues of Gen-Y. I collaborated with Matt Maguy on writing the lyrics and main melody for this one. I recorded & mixed all of the instruments and vocals at my home studio, using a combination of Ableton Live and Adobe Audition. This campaign received one local and two national awards and helped IC Credit Union get to number seven on the list of credit…

Budgeting in B Minor Web Video, 2012

I wrote, performed, and recorded the music for this web video, which was created by James & Matthew for IC Credit Union. This is one in a series of fun videos aimed at tackling the financial issues of Gen-Y. As a budgeting enthusiast, I was able to speak from the heart on this one while writing the lyrics :). I recorded & mixed all of the instruments and vocals at my home studio, using a combination of Ableton Live and Adobe Audition. This campaign received one local and two national awards and helped IC Credit Union get to number seven…

The Bynars “The Bynars”, 2011

The Bynars was my synthpop band from 2008-2014. Our first album was self-titled and I had a lot of fun designing this artwork for the CD release and the singles. I was (and still am) really interested in vintage photos of women on the phone. If you look, there’s a lot out of them there! I just found it kind of strange and fascinating to see all these photos and advertisements… like, what does it all mean!? For some reason, the imagery felt akin to our music. There was a longing there, some vintage appreciation, and of course – music…
