Debut album from my synthpop band The Bynars. We recorded this at Camp Street Studios in Cambridge, MA with Adam Taylor and Alex Hartman. The songs are definitely pop, with influences as varied as The Rentals, The Beatles, Devo, Phoenix, The Strokes, and Katy Perry. After self-recording so many of our early EPs, focusing on this album in a proper studio was a great experience, which fostered many sonic breakthroughs. On top of all the layers of synths, vocals, and live performances we captured as a band, this album was also our first time introducing electronic drums into our sound. Two tracks spawned innovative music videos How Does It Feel to Be in Love? and Every Little Thing You Love. We toured extensively in the US for this record from 2011-2012.
